21 June 2024 – Nairobi
This morning, meet your fellow travellers and join a full-day guided tour of Nairobi. Experience many of the city’s philanthropic and conservation highlights with a dose of history and culture. Enjoy visits to the elephant/rhino orphanage at Sheldrick Wildlife Trust; the informative and interactive Giraffe Centre; the old Karen Blixen farmhouse from “Out of Africa” fame – now a museum; as well as the Kazuri Beads Factory, which employs over 300 women.
Lunch will be hosted at the Karen Blixen Coffee Garden. Return to your hotel for evening at leisure.
Overnight: Tamarind Tree Hotel (BL)
22 June 2024 – Amboseli National Park
With your knowledgeable driver/guide, head south to Amboseli National Park – famed for having one of the finest views of Africa’s tallest peak. Mt Kilimanjaro is located just over the border in Tanzania, aptly known as “The Roof of Africa”.
After sometime to settle in and lunch, head off on an afternoon game-viewing activity – no better introduction to the joys of safari, where you can begin ticking off your wildlife list!
Overnight: Ol Tukai Lodge (BLD)
23 June 2024 – Amboseli National Park
Whilst on safari in Amboseli National Park, you may come across some of the large elephant herds the park is known for – commonly referred to as “The Land of Giants”.
During morning and afternoon game-viewing activities, the well-trained eyes and ears of your driver/guide will help spot the varied flora and fauna of this popular park. We will stop and visit a traditional Masai Village en route to learn how these unique and amazing people live. The ladies of the village will show you their arts and crafts.

24 June 2024 – Amboseli National Park
‘Empusel’ – the indigenous name of Amboseli from the language of the Maasai translates to “salty, dusty place”. But in contrast, the constant supply of water from melting glaciers atop Mt Kilimanjaro seeps through the soil to create freshwater springs.
Though it is one of Kenya’s smallest national parks, it is one of the most loved and visited. Even still, don’t let its size fool you; another day of morning and afternoon safaris will complement earlier wildlife sightings and showcase the exceptional biodiversity and iconic scenery.
After a long game drive, ask the expert masseuse for a soothing aromatic treatment to refresh your body and mind.
Overnight: Ol Tukai Lodge (BLD)
25 June 2024 – Lake Nakuru National Park
The World Heritage Site of The Kenya Lake System, which includes Lake Nakuru National Park, is your next stop. Located on the floor of the Kenyan Great Rift Valley system, this fracture in the earth’s crust stretches around 6500 km from The Middle East to Southern Africa.
The was initially proclaimed a bird conservation area before receiving national park status; the birder’s haven can attract countless flamingos to its shallow soda lake. With the reintroduction of Rothschild’s giraffe, as well as black and white rhinos, game-driving can offer great opportunities for spotting these endangered mammals.
Soak up the stunning views of lake Nakuru from your lodge along Lion Hill. Situated in the national park along Lion Hill. An ambience of peace and tranquillity will be easy to achieve after a day on safari.
Overnight: Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge (BLD)
26 June 2024 – Masai Mara
The journey heads south towards Kenya’s premier wildlife arena – the Masai Mara National Reserve. Enjoy images of the sun-kissed African sky, wildlife feeding on rolling savannah and spectacular scenery.
We stop en route to visit – ‘Beats of Beads’ – A Kenyan non-profit organization – a Women Empowerment Art-centre. Visit the only museum in Africa dedicated to the art of (East African) beading – on jugs, leather bags, loin cloths, as well as an impressive collection of head and neck ornaments. The knowledgeable guides will add to the experience – showing visitors the workspace where skilled Maasai women will teach them the art of beading while interacting with them. The nearby store allows the women to sell their art with dignity and under fair trade conditions.
Experience authentic safari in your tented suite – ‘roughing it’ isn’t an option here! The camp is Kenyan-run, with a majority of the staff being indigenous Maasai. Arrive in the early afternoon, with time to relax before heading off for a ‘sundowner’ game drive.
Overnight: Zebra Plains Mara Camp (BLD)
27 June 2024 – Masai Mara
If there was an Olympics of Wildlife – The Masai Mara would surely be one of the top contenders! Along with The Serengeti, it forms a contiguous wildlife arena of global importance. The region forms one of Africa’s most diverse and spectacular ecosystems – ranking it as a big player in the world’s top safari destinations. During our stay in the Mara we will visit a local school where you make a school supply donation if you wish.
