Details
Day 1: Hanoi arrival
We offer you our warmest welcome. Our tour guide will pick you up at the airport and transfer you to the hotel for checking in. Enjoy the rest of day at your leisure.
Day 2: Hanoi – That Khe (220 km) (B/L/D)
Departing at 8:00 AM, we head north across the Red River via Highway 1. After about two hours, we turn off toward the peaceful countryside, traveling along quiet roads through local villages and rice fields. We arrive in the border town of That Khe for an overnight stay at a guesthouse. Enjoy a traditional Vietnamese dinner at a local restaurant.
Day 3: That Khe – Ban Gioc – Quang Uyen (180 km) (B/L/D)
Departing That Khe, we head west along Highway 4 toward Cao Bang, passing historic battlefields from the French war. Turning off onto smaller roads, we reach Ban Gioc Waterfall near the China border. The scenic route features stunning limestone karsts and quiet roads perfect for driving. Optional off-road trails are available. Overnight with a Nung family in a traditional stilt house.
Day 4: Quang Uyen – Bao Lac (190 km) (B/L/D)
Today we explore scenic backroads near the Chinese border, passing remote villages, vibrant hill tribe communities, and stunning mountain views. Enjoy a picnic lunch along the way. If timing allows, we may visit a local market. Overnight at a hotel in Bao Lac.
Day 5: Bao Lac – Ba Be Lake (130 km) (B/L/D)
Departing Bao Lac, we ride through mountain roads to Cho Ra, then take a smaller route to the Nang River. Bikes are loaded onto boats for a scenic cruise through caves to Ba Be Lake. Enjoy a picnic lunch, swim in the clear waters, and spend the night with a local family in the national park.
Day 6: Ba Be – Hanoi (220 km) (B/L)
After breakfast, we leave Ba Be National Park, riding through scenic limestone mountains and rice fields toward Cho Don and Dinh Hoa. After lunch en route, we take a divided highway back to Hanoi. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel.
Day 7: Departure (B)
Enjoy your breakfast before heading to the airport for departure flights.
